CLOTHING: Traditional Arab clothing

Since Episode is starting to include more cultural assets, I was thinking about how cool it would be if they added traditional clothing of the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region.

Headpieces
Kufiya

This is a cultural piece, not a religious one. Men wear them in the Middle East.

Taqyiah (or kufi)

This is a traditional African piece but it’s also a symbol of Islam; it’s used by several muslim men all around the world.

Trendy Hijabs & Turbans
We do have hijabs but they look so different from what people wear today :sob: (at least from what the majority of young women wear)

Clothes
Kaftan

These are the Moroccan version, can we take a minute to appreciate how beautiful they are? (They’re traditional but not religious)

Abaya

These are both religious and traditional, however mostly middle easterners wear them in their everyday life (North Africans mostly use them to go to the Mosque)

Thawb

This is both a traditional and a religious piece for men.

Djellaba

These are North Africans and they’re traditional but not religious.

Belly dance clothes

Belly dance is an Egyptian dance that is practiced all around the MENA region. Just put some music on and wait for all the aunties to start dancing lmao. Now that we have other body types this would look just :chef:

Also...

Not related to clothes but still related to Arab traditions:
