Coding Eye Color

Hey guys, I’m trying to make a choice with gains in my story where the reader has the option to choose which eye color out of two that they want to have, & that eye color will be remembered for the rest of the story. Any tips for how to code this the best way?

You can just do CC. So you code two choices and when the reader picks that choice, you code “@CHARACTER changes eyeColor into (eyecolor here)” and they will have it on for the rest of the story. No need for gains if you want them to change the eye color only.
Or, you can do @gain choices.

Wait I lied. Sorry to bug you again but every format I try it in pops up with an error. This is how I coded it.

And this is the error message.

Jk fixed it lol

I recomand to use gains for remembering the choice:

label menu
NARR
…color choice

choice “blue” {
@ELENA changes eyesColor into Ice Blue
NARR
Is this the eye color I want?
choice “YES” {
gain BLUE
} “NO” {
goto menu
}
} “brown” {
@ELENA changes eyesColor into Brown Pale
NARR
Is this the eye color I want?
choice “YES” {
gain BROWN
} “NO” {
goto menu
}
}
NARR
Here go on with the story

And in any place you need alternation based on this choice you will use if/else
