Coding help would be appreciated

Hey so im creating at the start of creating a story and im really confused on how to make the camera follow my character when going into another zone or to make my character walk with a animation to another zone without it being in the center, i always get these @character errors. Ive watched countless youtube videos and ive read forums and nothing seems to help? Maybe im doing it wrong but here is what ive tried so far.

@YOU walks to spot 0.28483 283 in zone 3 AND YOU animation

@follow YOU walks to spot 0.8383 373 in zone 2 AND YOU animation

Idk if im doing it wrong but help would be really appreciated :slight_smile:

If you want the camera to follow your character to a spot directed place in another zone, use this:

&pan to zone # in #T
@CHARACTER walks to #spot in #T

T stands for Time, and you have to set the times of the panning and the character walking the same.

Hope this made sense! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

^Try putting &pan to zone 3 above this.
You also need to put @YOU walks to {spot} and YOU is {animation}

Okay no problem! If it still doesn’t work, let us know. :two_hearts:

you can just use the follow command instead of doing a pan, I find that its easier
@follow YOU walks to spot 0.8383 373 in zone 2 AND YOU is animation

No need to put @YOU walks to spot 0.28483 283 in zone 3 AND YOU is animation

oh oops nvm follow command doesn’t work with spots

Hi so all i had to do was put &pan on the top haha i didnt know that, i was wondering if you know how i can time the walks and how to time the camera movemnt :slight_smile: ?

&pan to zone (number of zone)
@CHARACTER walks to (spot code) in (number of seconds)

&pan to zone 3 in 2
@CHARACTER walks to spot 1.288 80 -37 in 2

you can do it like this- &pan to zone 3 in {seconds}
and the same with the movements- @CHARACTER walks to {spot} in {seconds}

Thank you so much it worked :)! Do you know how to make the character walk straight forward to the postition instead of coming from another angel to the position?
