lmao ikr
Or when somebody gives you a gift and you have to pay gems for that gift.
Lol, this one pisses me off the most. Youâre giving me a gift, and I need to pay for it??? Tf?
Yes exactly, then you get a readers message about how much you hurt that persons feelings.
BFF: I have a surprise for you! I saw this dress and thought of you, so I had to get it for you to wear to the dance.
MC: WOW! Thank you. Itâs so beautiful. ~changes into dress~
BFF: You look amazing! Thatâll be 50 bucks please.
THERAPY! I dont understand the cliche that therapy never works, but flashback to the scene and the MC is fighting other ill people (all Iâll people arenât looking for a fight and are actually in mental pain) and yelling at thier caretaker deliberately and oh wait! The LI is somehow in rehab together (because f gender boundaries am I right?) and theyâre both psycho!
Or when they make the character have a âcoolâ mental disorder and itâs just normal for everyone around. For example, the Mc will have a double personality and they run around doing extreme things like fighting people to death and her friends or love interest thinks thatâs badass of them. Or itâs okay because the MC doesnât remember. Get the damn stretcher and throw her in the asylum!
Mental illness in general, if not the main focus of the story is always an off and switch. How are you mentally Iâll when you feel like it? Like itâs a damn superpower.
or itâs never brought up again till the next plot point.
Aye. ![]()
âTherapy doesnât workâ is the drama genreâs version of those unrealistic but generally accepted action-tropes like âhit someone in the head and theyâll have a peaceful nap for 40 minutesâ and âchloroform makes people pass out instantlyâ and âtorture and truth serum are both good ways to get information.â Or perhaps the all-too-cliche âshoot a bad guy in the shoulder and theyâre out cold, shoot a good guy just below the ribs and they keep fighting but conceal the injury from their teamâ lmao. But I digress.
But âtherapy doesnât workâ is probably even more destructive when people see it in fiction and actually believe it, since the average person will rarely ever encounter torture and chloroform, but a noticeable percentage of us will need therapy for at least a short chapter in our lives, so itâs a pretty
y message to have out there. ![]()
Whatâs with Episode stories lately and the mean old woman/mother figure in Episode stories (featured so far) and putting MCs in purposely bad outfits? Is it supposed to show how dumb or blind they are? Is it Episodeâs way of how subtly abusive they are with how uncomfortable they make MC fell? What?
- When the author talks to the MC. Keep it professional.
- Quirky Food Traits.
- Weird eye/color pairings. e.x purple eyes and blonde hair
- The Party Girl bestie.
- Mean girl, golden boy, & bad boy cliches.
- The students wearing shorts and fishnets and NOT getting dresscoded.
- Mean Girl sidekick being the ex friend of the MC.
- When thereâs no option to not drink.
- âiâM LaTe fOr ScHoOl!â
- That super important necklace, key, crystal, etc.
- Dead parent because why not??
You arenât allowed to wear shorts at your school? haha
I agree with #1.
I use to like them, but now they force it at the end of the chapter and itâs so cringy and usually both characters are weird or argue a lot (author) so itâs suppose to be okay. But if they do that they should make it special or a twist like âoffsetâ but not right in the story.
They have to be longer than the tips of our fingers.
Some creep tries to sexually assault the MC, and the LI rescues her.
Second that
The MC passes out and wakes up somewhere else in different clothes.
There are a few variations of this. One, which isnât exclusive to Episode, is that the MC was in a battle or wounded and wakes up in clean clothes.
One that is particularly common on Episode for some reason is the MC getting drunk and puking on herself, only to wake up in the LIâs bed with his clothes on. Often she comments on the change of clothes, and he assures her he was helping her, not being creepy.
I do, however, find this trope creepy. Additionally, I donât understand why itâs so common. It canât be easy to get clothing onto someoneâs unconscious body. I could barely even put pants on Barbie without totally flipping her upside-down.
LMAOOOOO, Cee ![]()

Itâs one thing if itâs like shoes or a jacket, but I canât imagine being able to dress someone sleepy or unconscious into say LIâs dress shirt and just that without touching some areas.
Iâm not sure itâs common but Iâve seen it a lot in several usually bad stories where the LI is a billionaire or a mafia person or someone with power. When they get so smitten by MC, they ask their right hand man to get him a âbackground checkâ on her instead of you know the more romantic approach of stalking (joking).
Seriously though, I donât get how MCs usually donât know the really famous or powerful LI. Like Google or Facebook doesnât exist in the story?
Omg I love reading this kind of topics

Now I know what to not to include in my story
Although I included some things
And I made opposite of everything listed here
