Community stories will stop being free?

I would pay some amount of money to read community stories but under one condition - small authors’ stories should be promoted in first place!!! I know how hard it is to get reads if you are not a popular author and, moreover, featured stories are already based on popular community stories so…
What’s the point in making new readers read those stories to get access to community stories?..
P. S. Gem choices are really a way too expensive.

I think whatever’s going on, Episode should have been transparent and announced what they’re doing in order to limit panic and confusion. Hopefully they’ll explain what’s going on to everybody soon.

Hey guys! I just found this thread and I just want to say that the reaction here makes me almost certain that this feature will not be implemented. After all, the point of beta testing is to release the update to a small audience and see how they react. I see a lot of people here who say they will quit Episode if this is implemented. That means that the people who have it for beta will, for the most part, refuse to pay or even read on the app. The beta results will show that it’s not profitable for the company and this won’t be implemented. Only if people cooperate with the beta and pay gems to read, in my opinion, which does not seem like the case. So before you panic (and I’ve had panicking people sliding into my DMs in the last 24 hours saying they will never read on Episode again) just remember that the beta should reflect how the community accepts the new change and the results will aid Episode in deciding whether or not to implement the new feature :blush:

Hopefully they see that this new feature is gonna end up in a loss of money to everyone involved, authors and the Episode team alike. Teens who can’t afford to pay for apps online will never wait a week for a single episode :woman_shrugging:t2:
