Concern about Community Guidelines Section 5a

So I am a newbie fiction writer, specifically horror, and I just read the Episode Community Guidelines.

I saw that on the Guidelines Section 5a, it says that violence or gore is not allowed on Episode. Not much problem in gore, I can make it less detailed and child-friendly, but the “violence” part is the one that concerns me.

I am writing a zombie apocalypse horror story on Episode right now. From the theme itself, it will involve a lot of violence. I just want to ask if certain acts of violence, like shooting a zombie, beating a zombie with a baseball bat, or just simply explosion overlays are allowed on Episode? And if that is not allowed, then why are there so many stories around the app that involves domestic violence? How did it get past moderation?

That’s all of my concerns for now. I am an Episode user since 2019 and I really enjoy the app and everything it has to offer. Also, is there any male Episode users and writers here or I am the only lonely boi here? All of the writers I see around the forums are girls. Thanks!

Yeah, there are so many maf*a stories that I think that would be fine. Also it is not always allowed there was been many stories that have had to change things or been removed if it can’t be altered. Plus episode takes time to review stories so some stories might have slipped.

And for your second question yes I have come across many male users on the forums. More than I expected if you go around threads you will come across them. Also you could make a seperate thread for that to make male friends on here since you will get responses for them there. :slightly_smiling_face:

they are allowed. what isn’t allowed is making your MC brag about these or make them seem like normal stuff and things that someone needs to be proud of.

Those are definitely allowed, they just can’t be too descriptive or detailed. If you want an idea of what’s allowed, I recommend you read The Infected by @Caitoriri and Apocalypse by R.

Oh, yes there definitely is. There’s Gerr, Garner (GRH), Jojo, Joseph, MJ, Crim and Lucas (aka Lucky) just to name a few!
