Hey guys, I just wanted to have a little talk with you. Basically one author accused me of copying hers story, which I didn’t! I didn’t know her name back then when I started with my story. She wanna report my story or share it to her instagram, I just feel so bad right now, honestly there can be some similarities, but why just accusing me ? I spend A LOT of time and money into the arts and writing. Can someone help me? I already contacted episode.

Don’t worry, I don’t know who she is, but if you actually aren’t copying her story, she won’t get far with reporting you, trust me. Just ask her what her problem is, maybe it’s just a misunderstanding you guys could talk out. If she’s just looking for trouble, or if she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, just ignore her.

My only advice is to wait out your episode form, and maybe, (if you have any) show evidence to the person (like a time stamp when you started the story)
But that’s awful, I’m sorry that happened in the first place. If I may ask, what’s your story about? Sometimes commonly used tropes cause confusion between authors.

Sheesh… some people these days. I’m sorry that you had to go through that. Some people need to learn the meaning of copying. There are millions, billions of writers, and so manny types of writing styles.
If you didn’t copy the characters, sentences, and literally every single scene, down to the directing, then idk what the other person is on about.
Confront them about it, if you did and they don’t listen, then speak about the issue on your profile and let others know.
I know at the end of the day, when you did nothing wrong, you don’t have to explain yourself… but because it’s episode, people will report even for no reason.
I don’t think episode will take down a story unless it has enough evidence to prove that you did copy.

I have evidence, I think she released hers story before me, but I didn’t even know who she was back then. My story is basically about a girl with a bad past then about a criminal who she falls in love with… Yeah, but I’ve seen a lot of similar stories to hers and she’s basically just accusing me? Because she probably saw my story in the romance trendings… I’ll wait what Episode would say. Thank you for your help

I was literally almost crying before, but now with your comments guys I feel better And honestly if I would copy hers story why would I even publish it? I will NEVER copy someone’s story. Actually I thought she was better, but now? Yeah sis is different. If only her fans knew what a b- she is, also she send me some really bad messages, but rather not talk about it

A lot of people tend to forget you cannot be original anymore, it’s really hard to maintain that type of originality. The only way it could be copyright claimed when someone copies every scene word for word, not the plot idea or the story idea itself. I’m really sorry you have to go through this, it’s unnecessary and just ignorant on the accuser’s part.

When her message slid into my dms I seriously felt so disgusted, but I’m currently revamping my story so whatever. She said “Babe we did comparison and it’s plagiarism. Spending money on arts doesn’t make it different. It’s like talking movie and just changing words. And just moving them at different times. It was copied, It is copy even if it’s moved around.” Like seriously? When I literally started with my story I didn’t even know the gal who made the story lmao-

What do you expect from local 14 years olds who don’t understand that the idea of plagiarism isn’t handed off that way.

If you’ve had any conversations with anyone about your story or any proof of date of when you first planned the story, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding that can be solved easily.

I really don’t care about it anymore honestly… I do have proof, but she still didn’t believe what I wrote her. The only ones who can solve this are episode and not her. However thanks to her I’m revamping it to make it way better

As long as it isn’t word for word or scene for scene then I don’t consider it copying. Also, there are many stories on the app with a similar storyline. If she’s mad at you, then she should be mad at everyone else.
