So I’m doing a flashback but I have no idea on what type of things people look for in flashbacks so If anyone has any tips could they please tell me.
A flashback should leave the reader thinking, “What’s just happened…?!” It’s usually something that occurred in the past, which relates to the plot of the story. To make a flashback “smooth,” you can make it a daydream, a dream, or an important event which a character is talking/thinking about (although there are many other ways to show flashbacks.)
