Ugh, I guess I phrased this poorly. What I meant was I was afraid my story would get disqualified if I used swear words, like hell and sh*t (no f bombs!). I’m just getting paranoid the closer we get to the deadline, that’s all!
that explains it. Well, I have everything I need. So I should be good to go…hopefully. If it doesnt get approved, then Ill have to work with something else. @ELx u were right, thanks for heads up! ![]()
Sorry, I don’t understand. Think of what exactly?
Oh. Nah, if it makes sense to use it then it’s fine. You are allowed up to five swear words per episode! (wink)
This is just a warning though, not a need. It is only reminding people that it COULD take up to this long, BUT they have been doing it much faster lately.
I said it wrong. They don’t stop approving but they will be very slow in approving. Probably about a weeks wait.
Not at the moment though… as I said just above…
I try to think of my time procrastinating–at least if it’s spent consuming other narrative media–as a “cooling off” part of the writing process. That mindset doesn’t always FEEL productive, but sometimes, depending on what I’m reading or watching, consuming stories does help prime my brain for getting back to whatever story I have in progress.
HAHA! That’s a nice way to look at it. (wink)
My problem is that I’m already SOOO far behind in my story that I may not finish, AND I’m still not writing.
Absolutely! I’ve seen a lot of established authors telling younger writers to push themselves even if they don’t feel like writing, but that doesn’t work for everyone and can lead to writer’s block or even burnout. I find that taking breaks actually makes me more productive, especially when I don’t feel inspired to write.
Yeah, I think “write every day” is all well and good for people who can/want to write every day, and certainly it helps meet deadlines like for this contest, but it’s not always practical, and taking breaks can be really important to writing as well.
good luck to anyone who joins <3
I just finished chapter 4 ^^
Yaay! Feelin’ accomplished! Also, literally going to start chapter 5 >.> I won’t finish it before the deadline…PROBABLY, but yeah ^^
backgrounds and overlays
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a sex scene, but you can’t see anything aside from the silhouettes of the characters. I might edit it a bit further to make it as PG as possible. Plus, it’s optional, so if a reader isn’t feeling it there’s no need for them to watch ![]()
Yeah, but overlays have a very low chance of getting approved on weekends, plus, this rule has been there for ALL the contests. Liz even said once that she does not suggest uploading later as there’s a small chance for approval.
Yes, like they do on every suggested last day of approvals. It may stop soon. But hey, it’s your story. ![]()
Oh, optional is okay. However, for me, I just would never add a sex scene at all.
Righto. Good thing that I completed all mine last week! (wink)
I was only checking, sorry if you thought I was attacking or something. Though, as I said, I had all mine approved last week, I just need to actually finish writing.
mood but good luck to all those entering!!!
i can’t wait to see the next contest
I finished all three chapters!

Now it’s time to go edit them.
Congrats! So lucky!

Please give me some of your motivation!
I am almost finish with all three as well. Editing here we come. ![]()

Hooray! You can do it!
