If I’m not working- minimum one week per episode. I’d say roughly 40-50 hours (per episode) but that can include making backgrounds/overlays. The Thriller contest took me forever because I hated what I’d done and spent more time fixing my story than I’d spent actually writing it

Arg, I’ve got way too many ideas. I’ve never tried mystery before, but this contest really inspired me. But maybe a bit too much… I’ve got four ideas right now. Could you let me know your favorite?

The story has a male MC and no cc. It’s got a pretty interesting aesthetic though. The directing is meant to be artistic. The main problem is that the story doesn’t have too many choices planned into it. Subgenres are sci-fi and action.

This is my Adventurous story, but with some modifications. This has cc starting in the second episode and a single art scene (It’s not just a character edit with a block of text, don’t worry.) in the first episode. There are multiple endings and characters might die from your choices. (So choose carefully!) Subgenres are action and romance.

You awake to sirens blaring. You remember nothing but a flash of light and one word: ‘fractured’. Welcome to the unknown.

Choices are very important because the MC’s stats and personality are shaped through choices. Only the MC has cc. Subgenres are sci-fi and adventure.

You’ve always been able to control your powers. The explosion wasn’t your fault… There’s someone like you out there, but they’re on the wrong side. You’re running out of time. It’s almost midnight.

This will have a pretty average number of choices. Only the love interest gets cc. This is another story that focuses on artistic directing choices. Subgenres are thriller and fantasy. I haven’t decided which title yet.

Aww, I think you should give it a try if you want to enter and would like to write in Spotlight. 
There’s really a niche for everything and I know at least two people who are actually entering this contest with Spotlight. Even Choices uses what is essentially the style!

Go ahead and try it! And if you don’t make it on time then you could post your story separately anyway. I quite enjoy spotlight tbh.

Should I do my episodes with the British spellings of the words or the American version e.g. MUM or MOM

Well, I personally don’t really care if it’s with the British spellings or the Americans spellings but if you want me to choose one I’d say, British? cuz I like the MUM version
