Neat. What’s yours about? (No huge spoilers. Just a basic summary)
Which idea is better?
Both descriptions will be:
A group of strangers and a beautiful cruise ship. What could possibly go wrong? A deadly event wreaks havoc. Solve the clues, find the killer. Choices Matter. But which story is better
-
A group of strangers are invited on a cruise by this mystery man and they all take an instant disliking to the man, suddenly the man is killed but by whom?
-
A group of strangers are invited on a cruise and one by one they all start to die but who is behind it?
I feel kind of weird for saying this lol but the 2nd option with people dying off seems interesting. It just feels like there’s more at stake. The 1st one sounds like a who-dun-it which can be very interesting too if done well.
Thank you for your help!
No problem
I like the second idea.
The AI company you work for is about to make history with its most advanced human robot in history - until it goes missing. Can you find out who’s guilty?
What bout yours?
A wealthy socialite is found dead in her mansion. The only thing left at the crime scene is a bloody necklace. Will this lead you to the killer?
Could you guys help me decide which story I should do?
Option One
The court’s most famous entertainer dies mysteriously, and his patron, a bored noble, decides to make a game out of his death, proclaiming she’ll give half of her fortune to whoever manages to discover his killer Realizing this is more than a game, the prince’s entertainer and a commoner who hates her kind form an unlikely alliance to figure out the truth behind Charming’s death…

– Fantasy universe
– Two main characters, one male and one female.
– Limited customization for both characters
– There is romantic tension between both characters, though both are pansexual and can have romantic scenes with different characters, both male and female.
Option Two
A teenage girl dies in a car accident, though she belongs to the most popular group at school, that night everyone secretly thanks that it was her, the one no one would miss… Except for her friends and brother, who have come to find maybe her death wasn’t an accident at all.
Details
– Five main characters, three female and two male.
– Limited customization for all five.
– One of the male characters is a trans gay guy, one of the female characters is asexual, and one of the female characters is bisexual.
– Though the romance would be secondary, there would be three couples, one between a male character and the asexual female character, one between the transgender male character and a guy, and one between the bisexual female character and a girl.
Option Three
When dead bodies start appearing in a nearby village, a teenager discovers fragments of an old prophecy that speak of a great evil… Only the names scribbled in the prophecy are those belonging to them, and the six other teenagers that are supposedly being trained as “Knights”. So now, their job is to find out which one of their friends is starting to rise as the “greatest evil the world has ever seen”, and to kill them before they can.

I’m Australian and I use mum. I don’t care if my stories are set in the US
. At least I can keep it consistent. It’s one thing to stick to mom, but I’d feel weird spelling things such as neighbour as neighbor, organisation as organization etc
I like the second one too
Whereas, I’m the opposite. I prefer using British English, but if the setting calls for it then I’ll use the other. I guess my profession helps me use both (situation dependent).
Oh, well, it’s still each to their own, so long as the grammar is correct either way.
oww love the purple hair
Thanks, I wanted to try something new.
Which do you prefer? (You still get the same story length in the end)
- Long Episodes but not many
- short episodes but loads of them

Well, actually, medium length, and about 5 to 20 episodes depending on the story.
On average my stories are about 4000 lines of code per episode so RIP xD
Since it’s a contest entry, I think you should make the first episode 15 minutes as maximum. You can make it longer as the story goes on, especially starting from episode 3.
I say this because some people do click out of a story if it has long chapters, and that hurts your retention.
I admit that I have done this to a couple of stories. I try not to and I had felt bad doing it, but time factors into it for me. If the story captivates my attention then I don’t notice the length much. Though if it doesn’t and the chapters are really long, then it’s possible that I won’t read past the first.
