Custom Overlays - Removing White Background?

Okay so… I am writing a story for the Double Life Contest and I’m creating my own overlays (for things like duvet covers etc, etc) using images from sites like Pixabay, I’ve got my images picked out, and I’m removing the backgrounds with an app called Gimp. This is all fine until I try to convert the images to PNG format with an online converter. This gives the new PNG image a white background, anyone know how to remove this?

I would recommend using apps like adobe photoshop mix (it’s free on mobile and ipad) or procreate if you have it to make custom overlays because it seems to me that these images you’ve converted haven’t actually been converted to png if they’ve got a white background. Or maybe find another website.

Tried a different website and it worked! Will definitely stay away from the duff one in future!

Glad to hear it worked! :sparkling_heart:

Moved to Art Resources since this is about backgrounds. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about creating topics, and feel free to PM me if you’ve got questions.

Try to use Pixlar that could help if you need help with it message me

remove.bg is amazing, just upload a picture and it automatically removes the background.
