how do you get a character to face the back without it needing to talk?

Can someone help me out?
I’m trying to get a character to drink something and I don’t know how to make it look like the cup is moving with the character’s hand as they drink. If that makes sense…

When I’m spot directing how do I make my characters move without the dialogue and action that is intended for them to do AFTER they walk to a certain spot?
for example in my script my character walks while talk_flirt and it looks awkward but I don’t want to use the @ symbol because it also looks awkward because then my character has delayed reactions
&KRISTEN walks to spot 0.470 102 285 AND KRISTEN faces left
KRISTEN (talk_flirt)

You need to add the cup prop to your character.

I’m not really understanding? Do you want your character to walk to that spot THEN have her talk?

I’m using an uploaded overlay though…

I used your template for changing hair and lips for ink. Will the decision be taken automatically into the next episode. If not, how I can do that?

So you’re issue is that when you choose, “don’t go out” it plays through that scene, then after it also plays through the “go out” choice scene?

Anytime you have a character change their appearance or change into an outfit, they will stay that way pretty much forever until you change them into something else.

Hey, there! So, I need some help without something rather small, but I’d love to learn how to do. I’m new to the forums, but I’ve been on the app for nearly 2+ years, and I’m finally trying to write.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to have one character talk and another do an action? Or maybe they do an action in the middle while they talk? I had seen something before but I can’t remember. Like this:

@CHARACTER Y is laugh_guffaw
CHARACTER X (talk_happy_smile)
Blah blah blah.


@CHARACTER Y is laugh_guffaw
CHARACTER Y (talk_think)
Blah blah blah.

If anyone knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can either change the “is” to “starts” or change the @ sign into &

@CHARACTER Y starts laugh_guffaw
CHARACTER X (talk_happy_smile)
Blah blah blah.


&CHARACTER Y is laugh_guffaw
CHARACTER Y (talk_think)
Blah blah blah.

I tried both methods, and it didn’t work. I don’t know if I’m just dumb and don’t understand, but it didn’t solve it for me :confused:

You’re trying to have a character do an animation while another character talks right? That’s how it’s done. What are you typing into your script?

Oh, well, see, I didn’t try it the way with another character yet. I just had tried to get one character to two actions at a time. I’ll try the two character thing now.

Why is it that when you rotate overlays the overlay moves to a different spot?
