Is your story in spotlight, or have you set your script to spotlight and want to set it back to cinematic?
You can have the character be bald or use the short curly fade hairstyle.
i set it back to cinematic but the character is not where i want it to be

I tried the Short Curly Fade hairstyle, and it shows her hair. I also used the Short Pixie hairstyle. Seems like it covers the back of the hair, but not the front or sides. I wanted her to be able to take off her hijab at one point in the story…

Use the bald hairstyle for the main character. Then create a duplicate with a different hairstyle for those moments when she takes it off
