There shouldn’t be a whole line skipped between an ending bracket and the next choice option. The next option should be on the same line as the end bracket or on the very next line.

} "Let her convince you more." {

or

}
"Let her convice you more." {

ok it still says that tho ughh

It shouldn’t. Did you remove that whole line in between?

this is what its saying and i just did what u said

Yea but now that’s a different error from what you had before.

On line 2594 you just have a random talk_sad_clutch_loop

Hey Dara, I have another question, in some stories on episode they have facial expressions…How do they do that? :slight_smile:

@LIAM spot S X Y THEN LIAM faces direction AND LIAM starts sit
&LIAM moves to layer 2
@MAXINE spot S X Y THEN MAXINE faces direction AND CHARACTER starts sit
&MAXINE moves to layer 2
and I get this error messages!
twice has that message
invalid spot"
{“s”:s,“x”:x,“y”:y"{

I am trying to have Maxine in this scence INT. MUSIC AGENT OFFICE DESK OL - DAY sit in a chair and Liam in the chair on the side of the desk where the pc is at!

Help me please!

Is this how you have it exactly in your script? Are you replacing spot S X Y with the actual spot numbers and direction with left or right?

That is how it is in my script!

Exactly like that? Then you need to replace spot S X Y with the actual spot numbers and direction with left or right

yes and how do I do that?

You need to use the spot helper when testing your story: Spot Directing (Moving Characters Around)

trying that now!

They use the end of certain animations. To do this, they have the character do an animation while you’re zoomed in somewhere else or cut to a different zone. Then once the animation is done playing through, they show the character (who is in the last pose of the animation they just did). Or another way is to have a duplicate character stand offscreen and do the animation, then switch the main character with the duplicate character.

I did this!

@LIAM spot 1.280% faces right down THEN LIAM faces camera straight AND LIAM starts sit

&LIAM moves to layer 1

@MAXINE spot 164 84 THEN MAXINE faces camera straight AND MAXINE starts sit
&MAXINE moves to layer 2

and it said that it was not a valid directing command

And there is no such thing as faces camera straight. The only directions are left or right: CHARACTER faces right or CHARACTER faces left

will changes right now!

ahh okay I understand thanks. :blush:

I still get an error message! Do you have to use idle_rear? I am getting really frustrated now!

@CHARACTER spot [scale] [y] in zone # at layer # and CHARACTER faces [left or right] and CHARACTER is [animation]

And example would be:

@DARA spot 1.280 130 10 in zone 2 at layer 4 and DARA faces right and DARA is laugh_giggle
