Hello, again, my favourite Episode helper @Dara.Amarie!
I am back with yet another question, I hope it’s ok.
I am trying to make quite a complex animation so I could definitely use some help. Here is what I am trying to do:
As you can see, the animation is not very smooth as there is this… not sure how to scribe it…like a click before it works.
I assume this happens because I have to shift overlays to the right position before I start rotating them. For some reason, when I start rotating overlays, they all jump outside the box even though initially they are in their correct places. I have no idea why this is happening and why they don’t rotate around the spot where I have placed them initially. All the leg parts are uploaded separately and are centred in the png.
Do you have any idea as to how I could fix this?
Thank you very much in advance!

Hi. I’m fairly new on here, and every time I try to place my overlays, they just don’t seem to take the command. Here’s my script:
INT. HER OFFICE - DAY with HER DESK to 0.766 62 2
@cut to zone 2
&MC spot 0.882 280 170 AND MC does it while sit_type_loop
&MC faces right
&LV1 spot 0.882 74 191
&LV1 faces right
Instead of the OL being there, it keeps moving to this spot:
@overlay 5640436733050880_HER DESK shifts to -247 3
@overlay 5640436733050880_HER DESK scales to 0.766 0.766
I’ve tried everything. What do I do?
Hi!
I’m really struggling with my Overlay! I’ve shifted it to place numerous times but when I review it, it moves back to the wrong place (both portal and app). Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
xx
I think I’ve figured it now thanks! X
Are you adding the zone when shifting?
do you know a website where we can get overlays and backgrounds
Sadly, no. I usually just make mine. But, looking up google transparent pngs and sizing them down works! Alexa.Episode has amazing overlays too. Just make sure to credit her. Also, you can find the group called Episode diamonds. Im partnered with them. We do everything from slashes all the way to overlays. Backgrounds, art scenes. You name it! One of us on the team can help!
@Dara.Amarie Is it possible to have multiple overlays in the same scene, but the overlays are the same? For example, My background for the scene is INT. CLASSROOM FRONT - DAY, and there are 6 students in the front row, I want them to be behind a desk, so I need the desk to be an overlay. But since there are 3 tables, three desks are needed, I’m wondering is it possible to have 3 of the same overlay in the same scene?
Thank you for the info and I’ll be sure to use it and if I ask @alexa.episode to do something for me I’ll be sure to credit her. Thank you
You’d have to upload the other overlays as your own and name them something like DESK2 and DESK3.
You can’t use the same overlay more than once in a scene because the system won’t know which overlay is which.

Oh holy episode goddess in the sky, thank you.
Thank you!
I want to use this football as a prop. Unfortunately I don’t have a photo editor than can use just the football without putting it in a box. Can anyone help?
Hi, @Dara.Amarie!
I hope you are great!
I am back again, sorry! Just wanted to quickly ask something. I am making an intro for my new story and as the title letters appear I want different lights to move in the background as well. I want these to happen simultaneously but I am not sure if that’s possible.
I tried these 2 combinations but none seemed to work:
@overlay I1 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay G opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay N1 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay I2 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay T opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay I3 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay O opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay N2 opacity 1 in 0.5
&overlay LIGHT1 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT2 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT3 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT4 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT5 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT6 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT7 shifts to 0 0 in 4
AND
@overlay LIGHT1 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT2 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT3 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT4 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT5 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT6 shifts to 0 0 in 4 AND overlay LIGHT7 shifts to 0 0 in 4
&overlay I1 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay G opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay N1 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay I2 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay T opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay I3 opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay O opacity 1 in 0.5 THEN overlay N2 opacity 1 in 0.5
Any advice would be much appreciated!

The & sign command needs to go before the @ sign command if you want it to happen at the same time.
Thank you so much, it worked!!!
