Already in the late 90ies we had a girl in class who coloured her hair blue for a long time. Guess not because she was into anime, but the comparison still comes to mind.

My hair was blue in my high school days.
I graduated in 04’ lol
Blue is the messiest color and my least favorite.
Red, purple, and black are my faves.
Red is s pain to get out though.
