Directing question

#1

why does using the & symbol mess up my directing? At first I used the @ symbol just so i can place the characters where I want. then I replace the @ with & and my characters are shifted to the left when I pan to another zone. Please help lol

#2

Can I see your script to see what the error is?

#3

If you post a picture of the script section, we can give you a better response. Overall though, there are a few commands the & will not work with such as transitions.

@Purple_Ghost You can take it from here. I’m leaving for dinner.

#6

posted it below

#7

here it is

#8

I’m pretty sure you can’t use the & command in here. Why don’t you want to use the @ command here? Is there anything particular you’re trying to do?

#9

Everything above that pan is being set into zone 2 because they are happening at the same time as the pan to zone 2. Add a in zone 1 to each above the pan.

#10

when I use the @ command the characters dont come up all at once, they just randomly pop up from no where lol. i want them to already be there when I pan to another zone

#11

what do you mean?

#12

Oh okay so then leave the sign there. Also another thing I noticed was that you included the pan command but the characters arent actually in specified zones so you need to add them to the zones.

The second half of your people after the narrator pause may actually be zone 2.
