I feel like I might have seen something similar once, but not to that extent or that extreme. Though I trust @Lemniscate because they seem to always know secrets about episode (I still remember that whole spotlight thing).
How do you feel?
Disappointed. The only word that is coming to mind at the moment is: SIGH! Why canāt they just do one thing right by us?

Umm, I guess Iām questioning it, but I probably still will do it anyway. I know a lot of people are boycotting episode now, but one of the last replies I sent to a fanmail was me promising I would see my story out to the end.

Not really, I only had two stories I cared and one of them is off the app and the other was never published anyway. This gave me a warning so thank you to all!

No, I had no idea about this being in the TOS.
How do you feel?
Disappointed. After supporting this app from nearly the beginning, wathcing their ads, paying for passes, staying up at night, just to try to write a somewhat decent storyā¦ I would have expected my story to be just mine, but I guess it is too much to ask.
And Iām mad at myself, because I barely even glanced at the TOS, thinking, Why bother reading? There wonāt be any serious stuff in it.
Itās pretty clear now, that I was wrong.

No, I felt safe after reading their explanation about who owns my story. I didnāt fully understand the TOS because itās not my first language, but as they said that āin a nutshellā I own my story, I believed it and forgot about the parts of the TOS that made me think of something different.

I was going to publish a second story, but I think I wonāt do that now. My first story is on hold right now, so Iāll see if Iāll keep writing or not.

People on here talked about going to Wattpad, so I checked it out and made a profile there (https://www.wattpad.com/user/RainbowCatWrites) I might also start writing there, because I donāt want others to own my story. I wonāt let them take away my ideas.

See they donāt own it. You do, but you are granting them permission to copy and adapt it which sounds so fishy. Which means they can copy our stories or adapt from them and we canāt do a thing.

I do recall reading this but didnāt think much of it as it also say we own our own story and thought they were refering to stoories they buy from the Author.

Yes and No, I already have a story on the app that I want to finish, how ever I have 2 other stories in the works which I was going to try publishing by the end of this year 1 in particular I donāt think I will publish on episode but I will put it on wattpad. and I have a couple other ideas for stories which I do think are better suited to episode than on wattpad but Iāll see what happens thoughā¦
