k, Seth’s got issues
First of all, I got imidiate red flags when he screamed at that lady who was (rightfully) upset that they turned up late. It came off really violent and quite scary. I may have been able to see Seth’s side of the argument better, if he had just explained things to that woman normally. However, Seth’s anger issues here, could be treated by just going to get help for those fits of anger, but this is not the biggest turn off for me.
Seth proposing to Grace, after they’ve known each other for a week. I really didn’t like the way this scene was handled. There are so many questions I have for Grace and for Seth, here, that never got answered. It’s just:
Seth: Grace! Marry me! I’ve never connected with someone this much in my life!
Grace (determinant): Seth, we’ve known each other for a week, and we’re only seventeen (I think)! I’m not ready!
Seth: But Grace, there is a whole crowd of people listening, please don’t do this to me…
Grace: I don’t know Seth—
Seth: SHE SAID YES!
they kiss
Like— what? And then afterwards, no one acknowledges what had happened. Grace just goes home, and tells her grandma that she’s engaged.
And, also, how horrible was it for Seth to propose in front of a crowd? Like, that’s essentially peer pressuring Grace into accepting his proposal, and that’s not cool at all. Grace didn’t even say yes! (at least with the choice that I picked)
Soooo… I think Seth could be the villain, now
I’m getting serious Kellan vibes (the Ember Effect). But, I also think it’s quite shady that we haven’t seen Corey yet? Like, I’ll be able to make a more informed decision on Corey’s true intentions once him and Grace have an actual conversation, and see each other face to face.
