Y’all it was like 3 years ago, it was the most cliche thing you’ll ever read. It was on the mobile creator so the story wasn’t that good in directing, and don’t even get me started on the storyline
It was like every gang story but 100x worse, the dialogue didn’t exactly help, it was like a cringe festival.
Wow it got 4k? That’s pretty good mine got 200 reads lol
I receive so much hate but I’m glad tho causeee
so I logged into my first story account and oh boy.
Stories are Dare, The way you smile and Beverly Hills’s Revenge (oop)
I remember that the way you smile is with male MC and like it was with this theme like two schools have this competition so one school stays in another one and then there’s this nerd (WHO HAS GLASSES) and this extreamly popular guy.
Why that story really changed my episode character designs etc. is because of that I fell in love with MC’s with glasses.
EDIT: I went to look at backgrounds and overlays and basically all of them are from pinterest lmao
my first story had a monologue about how hot the LI was and it was just a zoomed in clip of his feet lol
Hahaha
So so bad, also it was a fanfic so against the rules.
Oh g*d please tell me the MC didn’t have a thing for feet.
I’m on my first one…🥲
My first story never got published (thank god). The directing I used was just next to basic directing. It really was not great. Not to mention I was trying to make it much more complicated than it had to be, including 4 different types of character points, and making EVERY character a love interest (there were 45 exactly
). Plus I didn’t even think the plot through before I started coding. So it was basically a bunch of scenes leading to nowhere. I’m so glad I quit it because the story I’m doing now it so much better.
If you wanna take a look at it and make fun of me for this trainwreck, feel free. I could use a laugh
45!?
The MC was getting around the town.
Literally. But the thing is, none of them became stable relationships. Basically empty flirting and romance points that you do nothing with.
My gosh. Literally almost all of my current pet peeves are in my first story.
At the time, I was still getting a grasp on coding, so I didn’t really understand animations. I would use pose animations while someone was supposed to be talking, which resulted in a character literally holding some random pose while a speech bubble was in front of them… not sure how I reviewed this and decided to publish my story like this…
I also had really terrible episode lengths. There was customization in the first three episodes, so I really didn’t need to go above 1000, which made my episodes actually line 500 lines long.
I also had no clue where the story was going to go. I just wrote what I felt like and didn’t really have anything set in stone.
And here are more things I did that I cringe at:
- Used a default character to represent an important character (I only changed the name, not the appearance or outfit)
- Was really lazy with coding so sometimes the main male character would be shorter than the main female character, and sometimes he would not be
- Had an unnecessarily long dressing game where the character would do a dance after putting on each outfit
- Made two of the male characters look almost identical
- Terrible dialogue. One of the lines was like, “I need to go up there, I must!”
- Did an author cameo at the end. After re-reading, I realized that “me” looked nothing like me. I didn’t really care about the mouth or nose or eyes, I would only change the skin tone, eye color, hair color and style, and lip color. So I had a really thin nose and lips (I’m black with a wide nose and big lips)
Sorry if this is long, but my first story was really, really atrocious. Luckily, I’ve hidden and it has a pretty basic name which would make it harder to find through the search tab.
Okay this has been so fascinating to read. I’m a writer so I really want to write a story but I am HOPELESS with technology so the coding scares the living daylights out of me.
Does anyone have any tips for writing a first story and… not having it suck?
I should probably start a new thread for this, but reading everyone’s reflections here gave me the courage to ask.

My first story was on MOBILE
and it was terrible. This was the time where high school pregnancy stories were the most popular.
Ah thank you!!!
My first story was pretty basic Bad boy thing
it was SO HORRIBLE
I knew basics of coding, but the storyline was
(It also had some problematic stuff which I wasn’t aware of
) I didn’t even plan a plot I just started writing. Now it’s revamped (It still needs some little changes on first two episodes), and I’m working on chapter 7 rn
I still wonder why I published that shit
My first story ever never got published, but I still cringe every time I think about it. I basically couldn’t figure out the spot directing so all my characters were at screen center, screen left, and screen right.
also all of the layering was messed up and and one of the silhouette
characters still had a lot of visible facial features
my first story ever was sooo bad😭i published around early 2017 when i was in the eighth grade and i still cringe to this day. at the time i didn’t even understand simple spot placements, animations, and layerings. don’t even get me started on the plot😷
