The small cover and large cover are the same image for me. Yours definitely has a sweeter/more romantic vibe like @writingspirit said. I agree about the title, For Love or Money kinda fits the story better, I’d say.

I agree with you. When the scene took place it definitely had those vibes to it. I’m not a fan of the whole “pinning against the wall” move either. In real life, I would most likely be uncomfortable so, I do hate seeing this in stories.
As much as I like the animation. I would also have to agree with you.

I wanted to like this story, but I think I might skip it. The second episode was similar to the first. LI has no sense of personal space. EVERY choice costs gems. Literally. There are no free choices. Even when your dad forces you to get married, you have to stay silent or pay gems just to express that you’re unsatisfied with your father. Why pay gems for dialogue choices? They don’t give you access to new scenes or outfits. Just to not be a wet blanket costs gems, and it’s boring as hell.
I do think it’s better written and directed than a lot of other featured stories, but I have a hard time with jerk LIs, and when I have to pay diamonds to do anything, I’m disinclined to put up with them at all.
Not worth spending the pass for the one gem you earn at the end. With how frequent the gem choices are, the risk of my accidentally clicking one when I’m furiously tapping through is too high. I think it also works against this story that it’s coming on the tail of several disappointing featured stories, and I’m just kind of over my “tap through stories I don’t enjoy for gems” mindset.

Not very well, unfortunately. The Doberman into Mafia’s Girl revision was similarly weird (45 episodes to 8), and they did it by rushing the final episode significantly.
I get the impression the original author is working on this revamp (I’m assuming that because it uses a more recent CC, which is usually an indicator), so maybe, like Rule Breaker, it will be more than 12.

I don’t understand why they went for that cover especially since that’s not even a scene in the story unless episode added it in there. Covers like this, are stories that I avoid.

A revamp? For a story that got released up to a year ago? I don’t know, but it doesn’t sit well with me.

Honestly, I don’t remember I married a prince very much at all. There have been so many instant royalty, Cinderella stories on this app that they start to blend together. But I do remember thinking Back and Forth was quite cute. It’s one of the few featured stories I actually really liked.
I am fairly confident in saying I remember at least that those two stories didn’t require gems to make any choices whatsoever. IMaM is a no-choices-at-all-without-paying story, which is pretty costly even by Episode standards.
I don’t recall if the LI in IMaP came off as aggressively, so it’s hard to compare it on that front, but BaF had a more friends-to-lovers dynamic, which I find more palatable than the pin-MC-against-the-wall, “wolfish grin” bullshit in IMaM.
100% same. The artist’s skill-level is perfectly good, but the content of the cover is trashy. It’s designed with the goal of making the MC look pervy, which I don’t think is necessary, but I guess it kind of is true to Episode. One thing that’s pretty standard for Episode featured/official stories is making the MC as horny as hell for the LIs whether you like it or not, so at least the cover is honest, I guess. On a more personal level, I just don’t find Hulk-ish muscles appealing at all. I don’t find it QUITE as off-putting as the Bad Boy Roommate cover, but that may only be because Darius is at least in the distant background.

No he wasn’t so aggressive. I’m not sure he was aggressive at all. Back and Forth was my fave cause it’s super cute. Like you said, friendship [albeit forced by circumstance] that develops into feelings, made for a sweet story. IMAP was also not so bad. But in general I find that INK featured stories are way better in comparison to LL original or featured stories. Maybe it’s because they’re older and they went about things differently back then…?

Yeah, like I came to the app late via PLL advert lol. Then later discovered the community authors and fell in love with those stories. Especially because of the no gems at first, then I realized the stories are even better haha. Recently I’ve gone back and read a bunch of old INK gem stories and I was loving them… I keep trying to find ones I haven’t seen but I might have read them all now

I had a similar intro to the app! I’ve read all the gem-awarding stories except the Chain Reaction ones just because I couldn’t get into them, and now I’m nearly out of a way to mine free gems beyond the weekly releases of stories like I Married a Millionaire. There are definitely at least community stories that have that old-school feel of well-paced plot with developed characters, but it gets harder and harder to find them just because there are more and more stories to search through generally! It’s especially tough with LL just because it’s so relatively new, so a lot of the stories are still in progress and don’t feel as fully realized as the long-completed INK stories.

I admit, this is the one of the only stories from EGT that I wasn’t interested to read. I don’t know why, even though she joked this is the spiritual sequel to IMaP, the original story didn’t grab me the same way.

. I find it funny that most people complain that the LL male body is too muscular because meanwhile I’m like “I want a beefier male body” 
Anyway back to the story- I’ve read most of the original but am still yet to finish it. I think I have 5 or 6 episodes to go and planned on just binging them but never got around to it. It’s a cute story.
The original author stated on her IG that she didn’t have a part in the rewrite. I guess no author does the rewrite of their stories anymore? Considering that earl grey has previously done two featured rewrites, you’d think they’d let her do this one too
