DISCUSSION: Living With The Vampire Brothers

First of all, I’d like to give you guys screenshots of the first chapter, mind you this “Ryan” dude is the MAIN LOVE INTEREST. & I’d also like to point out this is glorifying human trafficking. :slightly_smiling_face: Fun right?!

ATTEMPTED R*PE!

HE COMPELLED HER TO STOP MOVING & STOP TALKING. COMPELLED HER. SHE DID NOT CONSENT, HE LITERALLY COMPELLED HER. This is ATTEMPTED R@PE that is being glorified, how in the HELL was this allowed?! She was literally going to get r@ped if the other brothers didn’t walk in. Not once did she agree to it, he had to, and I cannot stress this enough, COMPELL her to stop resisting. I’ll say it again; the main love interest was about to r@pe the MC had the brothers not walked in… My God…I just wanna hear your thoughts? Because my mind is boggled right now. Literally in scrambles.

*TRIGGER WARNING, GLORIFICATION OF R@PE

ALL OF THESE LITERAL R*PISTS OF VAMPIRES ARE LOVE INTERESTS. ALL OF THEM.

The MC is straight up DEFENSELESS. No consent given, literally defenseless. I feel sick. I feel so so sick looking at this.

Absolutely disgusting. She should be ashamed of herself for making that story.

Oh, cheese and crackers. When will people learn not to write stories like this?

She truly should. I just wanna know what the hell is going through her brain writing sh*t like this???

I don’t want to hear anyone defending her on this. Yuck!

Not only that–this story has over 4.6 MILLION reads…4.6 million…

How come people have not spread awareness on this???

I don’t know. I was surprised to see that there was absolutely no topics created on it when I went to check & search. Oh well. I’m just glad I noticed the bullsh*t now, even if it is really late.

Exactly!! Like what the hell?! These vampire brothers are not “cute” and “sexy” for being involved in f*cking sex and human trafficking!

The problem is less with the author and more with the people who read and support it. Those millions of reads are the ones that make everyone else think this is what is supposed to be popular and thus the trend that should be followed.

The author was the one who made the story fam. They are the problem IF they had made it and glamorized it . Now, I’m not saying it’s all her fault but it’s really both her and the readers.

I guess that could be true in a way, however, I don’t know if anyone in their right mind would wrongfully glorify such sensitive and horrific topics like these…I believe she’s just as much at fault IF NOT more than her readers, ALSO taking into consideration a lot of her readers are probably easily influenced children.

She is more than the readers. She produced it.

True, this also isn’t the first story she’s decided to glorify abuse on. I mean, there’s literally so much other popular topics, even if it may be cliche, to write about than sexy murderers & vampire r*pists.

I said, less with the author and more with the readers. That does not mean the author is completely innocent at all and takes no part in this. Obviously the biggest problem with Episode is that these kind of stories are just so massively read and supported that people keep making them. It’s why Episode ONLY features romance stories because they make them the most money. Sure, the author wrote it. But if there was no audience for it, the trend would die.

I understand where you’re coming from–but even if these are the kind of stories Episodes users cater to, that doesn’t give her the excuse to keep writing stories like these. At the end of the day, she’s the one who wrote it, she’s the one who published it, and she’s the one who didn’t take into account that she may be giving children the wrong idea on what loves supposed to be like. She’s much more at fault than her readers.

The author is more at fault. There’s many stories that glamorize rape and don’t have a lot of reads. It’s still a bad thing to do regardless of who reads it or how much recognition it gets.

Even if the trending page may be full of stories that really don’t have an interesting storyline, may be poorly-written and have tons of cliches, at least they don’t write about “sexy” vampires buying what they thought to be a stripper & compelling the girl to stop resisting. If she didn’t see what was wrong with her story before publishing, heck, even WRITING about it then she’s a disgusting person, that’s it…and back to what I said earlier–so are the readers who are continuously supporting this girls stories.

Yeah, I understand. But if Episode doesn’t consider her stories to be problematic enough to be taken down, what can she do about it? It gains her millions of reads, money and fame. The same goes for Episode in general. Be disgusted by the way her mind works all you want (I know I am when I come across such stories) but you have to look at the bigger picture. The ones who are allowing and supporting it. They make it all possible in the first place.

That’s true, but does the Episode team even know what she glorified in her story? I mean, like Shadow & I said, we haven’t seen ANYONE talking about how disgusting this is, so unless they’re actually reading her stories…they wouldn’t know about it. No one’s reporting this story. So again, even if the readers may be gassing her up, she should know better than to glamorize sensitive topics like these. At the end of the day, she chose to write about it, she’s mostly at fault.
