They were happy when they first married which was 3 years ago, I believe? But then yeah I don’t like him around them. Nobody likes him and I don’t think she wants to divorce because of the child. He smokes and sometimes smoke around the baby. I fucking hate him, i’m sorry ;(

Trust us, the best way to protect the child is to at least make effort to get away from him. Suggest that she moves in with her sister or that she calls the police or the hospital. The husband should get screened for depression or addiction, while your aunt should take any precaution necessary. She can’t stay with someone who does nothing but hurt her. If she insists on staying, then her child could one day be hurt too.

He’s never home and since my other aunt lives 30 minutes away they are always visiting and checking up on her. She hasn’t been touched by that asshole for a long time now but it still needs to be checked. She’s always leaving her house and is either visiting my aunt or my aunt visits her.

Authors like these seriously don’t understand how people can actually be affected by this sort of thing. People like @anon89987562 and so many others are constantly affected by triggering traumas or connections to their personal lives. It’s not fair that authors automatically assume that people who are affected by these things could handle reminders in stories on their own. They don’t understand that one does not simply “get over it.”

This actually disgusts me so much… I hope I never stumble across that story. I really don’t understand how people can romanticize sexual abuse like that, it’s a horrible thing that takes people years to get over, if they ever do. As a survivor I’m deeply disgusted by this… Jesus.

The reason why younger people are writing these stories is because they see other stories that have a lot of reads that are like these stories and the younger kids who like my age are probably 13 or 12. They see those stories and find it okay and they’re just clueless. At the age they are they should still know, not to write these stories.
Basically they see other stories like this with tons of reads and do it themselves for the fame and popularity

Little side note: I don’t think authors understand what it’s really like reading stories like these.
As readers, we connect with the characters that authors create. We laugh, cry, and feel with them because we know what it’s like to be human like they are.
But the experience of reading a scene containing abuse like this…the entire idea is disgusting already. The emotion that one feels while experiencing those things can be clearly delivered through the story, and even those readers who have not experienced this kind of thing are repulsed and scared.
But when a reader who HAS experienced this reads the story…I can’t even image the fear they feel as the memory of what happened to them rushes back.

I feel like it’s enough to already suffer from PTSD because of this… reading a story like that… I can’t even imagine it tbh. I don’t see how those stories are allowed, rape isn’t sexy and that’s that.
