Discussion: Love interests that sexually abuse the MC

Amen :raised_hands:t3:

As someone who is still suffering 10 years later, I can say there is nothing sexy about being plagued by mental health issues as a result of it.

Episode needs to make a statement about problematic story lines that are riddled within their app. Silence doesn’t help anyone. They need to do something because it’s far better than nothing.

I honestly think it’s great that you brought this to the surface, it’s important to bring this issue to people’s attention. It’s something that needs to stop and the only way to prevent this happening is to talk about it. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Still young, did you experience a loss of memory of the event like missing impirtant parts or not knowing what happened after?

Yes.

And I cried the day I found out it was molestation. Always thought it was a joke gone too far.

Hey…this sounds weird? Would it be okay if i sent you a message about it? I am kinda struggling to know what’s real or not at this point. But because you know you are a survivor you may still get uncomfortable so tell me if it’s okay or not?

It’s like user authors…no, like the entire Episode community is trying to get us riled up. All of this is beyond horrible and revolting.

Directly depicting this content in any art form is beyond evil and unacceptable. Episode is no exception when it comes to their stories.

The publication guidelines say that our stories need to be suitable for PG-13 audiences. They already stretch this rule with their own stories, but now user stories are following suit? This is disgusting. This content should not be imprinted on the minds of 11-year-olds who will think it’s okay to openly discuss and write about these things on the platform. It shouldn’t imply the idea that it’s completely okay to write about subjects as horrible as this and that no consequence will be involved for doing so.

If this community will allow anyone to read and write for free, it should be a safe, trigger-free environment for all readers and writers. It should give the right, trigger-free ideas to the authors in question. It should make sure that their users aren’t underaged. Even if this won’t make an improvement to other issues out there on the platform, it’ll certainly make an improvement to the lives of the users.

OKAY. So first things first, men being raped does happen! Both by men and women, I will always be an advocate for rape victims of ANY gender. HOWEVER, I don’t think most people don’t care about men being raped it’s just that they don’t know about it. Men being raped should be talked about more because it’s important that male victims should not feel alone. So in general I think if male rape was talked about more than more people would care.

Agreed. Sexual harassment, abuse, and rape are all wrong, no matter what.

yeah exactly. Just the reaction from the leaving neverland documentary show how people react to male victims. It’s sad.

I already reported one story to @Tyler and I am NOT scared to do it again

I hope reporting it is actually effective though. People like these should not be given platforms.
