There will always be unfair judging in any situation to be very honest. And art/edits are very subjective, and it depends on your connections, whether your style is on trend etc. Of course there are editors and artists that try to make things fair. Also, you may feel that the piece by this artist may be better than other artists, but to other people it may not be the same. Art speaks out differently for everyone and not everyone will like the same artwork. I get your point though and I definitely agree to a certain extent.
