Oh hi there.
Thanks
Ehh… I’ve kind of been procrastinating/forgetting to continue my story. I don’t really know when this story will be released but hopefully it’s not that far off.

Yes my overlays got approved. Took like 2 weeks of waiting but I finally released ch 5.
I did start on ch 6 a little but I got a Job over the summer So I’ve been busy with that and really tired, So I haven’t had the energy, motivation or time to really start writing ch6. So it’s probably gonna be finished in few months at the latest.
I haven’t planned any of my chapters other than ch 6 a bit. And ofc some bits and pieces of the story but idk when I’m gonna be putting them to the story. Idk how long the story Will be, but it’s gonna be pretty long. Since there is a small romance aspect to it I don’t wanna Rush it and then I wanna build up the Characters and reveal More about them as the story Goes on, So I’d say probably at least 20 chapters long.
Thank you for asking ![]()
With me, well with so many trips to the dentist this month, I am glad it’s over
@XxAlphaBetaxX
I had a little argument with Time Management and motivation this past month… And, despite having the episode lined up, when I started coding, it took an unexpected but pleasant turn.
It’s a little late but I am almost finished. For the next months, I am going to keep this slow pace probably. Having little to no romantic bone in my body, I will make me pull my hair…

I’ll be completely honest, my motivation to write is very thin. However, I’m in the process of writing 3 stories. One which might be out soon.
I honestly feel very intimidated by the coding. I’m good at story, bad at tech stuff.

Thank you, captain! I’m going super slow because I’m like learning everything all at once lol but I think once I really get the hang of things I can pick up the pace a bit. I am making progress though! I still have to finish my outline but I’m almost done with one of my most important & frequently used backgrounds. So that helps set the atmosphere for some of the scenes I’ve already written. While I do like to plan, my plans often don’t include writing in a linear fashion.
But also you are a blessing both in general and for keeping this thread going!
My overall 2020 goal is to finish Confessions of a Female Jock (both ink and LL) and to make a lot of progress on Ace of Spades, and maybe get my new story started if an awesome contest it fits comes along
Basically…my goal is to actually write and not procrastinate
It’s more of an outline than a fully fledged plan

I’ve recently moved so I havent really been working (blind date’s on hold until they connect my home wifi.) on anything.
lol
I shouldn’t relate so much, I really shouldn’t ![]()
Would love to have the guts to finally publish my story on here but due to it’s complexity it might not be suitable for 13 year olds and may have to go on a different platform. I’ll keep working on it

How did you go with updating The door is open? I bet adding choices and Q&A took up some time but I imagine it was really worth it if it means you’re improving your writing and that you’re proud of the story.[/quote]
I am still updating… And I am working on the other stories, too…
But I still like to write and won’t give up…
Sorry, I just saw this
Unfortunately it’s the same problem that keeps coming up. Hopefully the new cure will work so I won’t have to bother with it anymore. Thank you so much ![]()
I honestly wish coding was a lot easier. Maybe then we will see much stronger stories once good writers who are bogged down by coding difficulties come out of the woodwork.
The coding system is so daunting at first! I actually find it so rewarding to see my directing and coding skills improve and have fun troubleshooting
it becomes 2nd nature the more you practice and play with it!

@OreoBiscuit
How was your July? I don’t want to put pressure on you, but hoping you made some progress and that we can see an update in August
@EliseC
So now that we’re past half way of the year, I’m looking at your original goals. Do you think you’re on track for any of them at this stage? You did publish your new story, but one of your goals was to also complete it. Is that one still possible?
@Talu
Well, that attitude shift sounds very positive. I’m not sure what to check in with now every month though
@IsabellaMason
Oh no… So which story/ies have you been focusing on this month? It sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate.
@inkkee
Congratulations on getting your job! 20 episodes is a great number to plan for. I’m guessing you’re still on episode 6 at this point in time. How many do you want to have published by the end of 2020?
@Nessya
Nothing wrong with a slow pace! But don’t forget to utilize your down time to promote yourself a bit too. What’s your current schedule looking like? And I don’t know what the question is, sorry.
@LiyahxWrites
Remember your first post, where your goal was to have at least three of your WIPs out?
Well, after two contest entries, it feels like you’re right on track for that goal. You only need to release one more WIP, right? … Then you just need to finish them also haha
@maes
Considering the coding stuff has been a bit of a block for you, have you tried writing out only the dialogue for your story ideas? Kind of like script writing? It might help if you break it down that way, and then go back to do all the directing after you’ve written all the dialogue.
@hibiscusgravy
That’s great to hear! Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Coding can be hard to learn but there’s a lot of people willing to help out here. Looking forward to Sept/Oct for the promised reveal
@CosmicIvy
Thanks for joining this thread! How many episodes do you have left to finish CoaFJ? And how are you measuring progress on Ace of Spades?
@ColeCatalyst
Congratulations on 200 reads! In your first response to this thread, you mentioned that you wanted to try creating backgrounds. Is that something you’ve started? Can we expect a drive anytime soon?
@josephine.episode
By complexity do you mean something to do with branching or that it may be hard to understand? Or do you mean that it might not be allowed on this platform because of the content? If it’s the former then I think giving this platform is still worth a try.
@AngelWings1983
Great to hear you’re still updating! In your first reply to this thread, you said something you wanted to try was adding Q&A’s after every episode. Is that something you’ve started on yet?
@Zey
How was your July? Were you able to get back to writing? At the beginning of the thread, you said one something you wanted to try was tappable overlays… Is that something you’ve started yet?
This is the only one of my goals which I think is achievable. Today I published episodes 18 & 19 and I’m pretty sure the story will end up being around 30 episodes total. So… if I can pump out 2-3 episodes a month (including another 2 for August), then I’ll make it. But I only published 1 episode last month so… ![]()
First one- I’m at 1.4m now. I doubt I’ll make it unless a miracle happens or a shelf or something.
Second one- nope. Not happening this year.
Third one- I really want to enter Reveal (because I have the perfect idea that I’ve been sitting on for a while), but I don’t have the time.
Thanks! I was super excited to hit 200 because I really didn’t think people would like my story.
But I guess a few do and that’s awesome! lol
I have started learning how to edit (royalty-free) images but I haven’t gotten that great at it. So, there will be a drive eventually but I’d like to get my skills up to par before putting them out there.
I have it now as standard in all of my stories… But I put my other stories on hold for a while… I have a new story (‘For HIS Sake’) and I want to finish and complete that story…
I got really bored, by updating my previous stories… I don’t know why…
Hahha I wont be offended if u dont.
