Purtroppo sì, non si rendono conto dell’importanza del tema e di quanto incentivano la cattiva informazione con questo tipo di storie. Non si rendono conto che non è affatto rose e fiori! Per non parlare di una protagonista femminile boss… Cosa non affatto veritiera perché la donna per loro ha tutt’altro ruolo

La verità è che non gli importa e perciò a meno che una direttiva da Episode le banni tutte ste storie, è un problema che non avrà mai fine su questa piattaforma.

Purtroppo hai ragione, soprattutto perché la mafia è molto uno stereotipo italiano. Se gli stranieri pensano ad un italiano, quella è la prima cosa che gli viene in mente

They glorify mafia world with romance which I think is wrong in my opinion. Don’t get me started on the stereotypes they portray too. I get it, it has good drama but I feel like it’s repeated you know. Personally I like a mafia story but not when it’s portrayed in a romantic way thinking that the mafia leader will change and be a good person. No. They will cut your throat or something.
Personally, if you want a good mafia story which is my romanced, I highly recommend checking out the Second Chance franchise by Josie Jackson. It’s very cleverly written with plenty of drama and shows the female mafia boss and how toxic she is. The romance is just between ordinary citizens whom she goes out and destroys. I looked very hard to find a mafia story which wasn’t like anything else and I found this very rare gem. Not sure why the author hasn’t got more reads.
Anyway that was an example of a good mafia story in the blurred description
I don’t like mafia stories because they’re way too cliche for my taste, and not only that they tend to be unrealistic. Also, some tend to romanticize toxic relationships and just weird behavior in general

They are literally all the same, the mc falls in love with the mafia boss and it’s just all the same plot most of the time and i would be scrolling through episode forever just trying to find some regular drama story and a whole bunch of them are mafia ones

also not to mention it’s hella unrealistic because mafia leaders are disgusting and pure evil irl and some girl they just met wouldnt just make them change, like girl he gon kill you regardless of your beauty that’s what the mafia does

If we talk about romance, being in love with mafia doesn’t make sense for me, because mafia members are the least guy I will find hot. I hate to disgust them in real life. So I think it’s just for a kink lol. And if it’s for that reason, then it’s not suitable for episode platform which is for 13+
But as a story I like mafia story with a good plot based on research. A story that “smart” and not involving innocent girl or toxic relationship.
Too bad though, I don’t find many of stories like that here.
Since most of the time are always I and others mentioned above, I will skip mafia story in general if it pop up in my recommendation.
