DISCUSSION: Your Very First Episode Story

1. What was your first story about?
I started writing on Episode in summer/autumn 2018.
My first story is about a woman who ran away form her past and built in a new city a new life until, she discovered bodies related to her past (before she became a detective).

1.a) Did you publish it?
Yes and it’s still on the app. :upside_down_face:

2. What inspired you to start writing it?
Films, series, a poem and some people I met who has PTSD. (the MC in this story has PTSD)
Actually, I didn’t dare to publish this story but my sister encouraged me, so I keep writing since then.

3. Did you read the tutorial guides and guidelines before you started writing it?
Yes, I’ve read the guidelines but I also violated the guidelines with my first story… :eyes:
In some parts, the story changed due to the guidelines (I had to remove some scenes and had to rewrite dialogues) but the plot is the same and now, everything is fine with the story. (Reviewed and approved :+1: )
Now I know what I’m allowed to write and how to write sensitive topics without breaking the guidelines.

4. How far have you come since then?
30 chapters and 160k+ reads later, I write my second story since October and I can proudly say that I improved my writing and directing skills. I also became more confident in adding meaningful choices and using the point system which I didn’t do in my first story, except at the last chapters (choosing the fate of MC). And I also use more overlays and background characters and my chapters are longer. :joy: I also learnt to take time for my stories!

Despite the changes I had to make, I like my first story and I’m proud of it. :upside_down_face:
(I’m also considering to write this story in the mature app when we have this oppurtunity in the future.)
