Just an idea.
I wanted to write two DL contest stories with two different teams.
The stories would be different from each other and based on the ideas I have might be two different genres too, but since I will be involved in both of the, the teams can promote both stories.

Not a bad idea, just be aware that you can only enter writers’ contests once. You can help with both stories, but you can technically only take credit as a writer with one. I’d recommend you didn’t try to start 2 at the same time, and instead chose your favorite idea of the two to create a team around
