I had a scene idea where the two LIs have a bromance moment as they fight for the MC but part of me thinks it’s unnecessary.

You could add a scene like that, but make it subtle
A good example of a scene like this
They both are jealous and try to move the MC away from eachother
A bad Example of a scene like this
One of them throws the other off a cliff and sends them to the hospital
I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t do the latter 
but my point was that don’t make it too extra
I think a lot of people would actually like this. 
Most people who read multiple LI’s hate when the LI’s hate each other.
pls- who needs the mc when the two of them can just get together
