So…I’ve been thinking about whether I should do a sequel to my stories when I do end up publishing. There’s been a lot of stories I’ve read with sequels and they are awesome. Plus I think I have enough context in my stories in order to make a part 2, 3 or 4 super interesting. What do you guys think? Do you like sequel stories or one should just be enough?

Heck yeah! I love sequels! I personally have sequels of my own and they are so fun to write! I really recommend this!

I think when they are done well (new story line, new adventures, meeting new obstacles or people) they can be really good. But when it’s just a jumbled together repeat of the first, they’re really bad.

It’s 50/50 on whether people do good sequels. I like when characters I like get a new adventure, or problem or situation in a sequel instead of (for instance in romance -there’s always relationship drama because it makes for a good read and people get invested in the outcome) repeating the same circumstances in the sequel with different dialogue.
