Does a story need complex choices

It’s different for every reader. I don’t mind reading stories with only outfit choices as long as the plot is good, but I know a lot of readers like choices to feel part of the story.
Does it need complex choices? No. But I would say simple choices are a must, considering the tagline is Choose your own story. So even if they’re not complex, readers still feel like they’re making the story happen.
Are complex choices better? Eh, not always. Sometimes I like feeling the pressure of a choice having an impact, but sometimes I just want an easy read, that doesn’t require me to feel a heavy weight with each choice, so…
