Does anyone else find this difficult when writing?

The most difficult thing I find in writing - how to move my story the direction I want it to go AND not have any of the characters say or do things that they wouldn’t actually say or do…

Does anyone else find this part difficult? Like, I don’t want to have certain characters say or do certain things just because that’s where I want the story to go… I want it to be natural, you know? So… it’s so hard to figure out how to get my story to “go” a certain direction AND have all the characters act naturally within their personality. :sleepy: :sweat_smile:

Am I the only one?

wAIT SAMEE JSDSHKDJ this is why i stopped writing for a bit- im trying to align my characters’ personalities with the storyline- so that THERE choices n dialogues make so-and-so event happen but it just isn’t matching akhdksbd

Glad to know I’m not alone :sweat_smile:
Sometimes I stare at my computer screen for like an hour just thinking about how I want to make the dialogue happen, or try to change up the dialogue like 20 times…
