Does anyone else kind of not want any of there family members or friends to know they use episode or that there writing a story or is that just me?

I feel you!!
I told my best friend and she was very supportive but I donā€™t think that all of my friends will support this and might find this even embarrassing so I rather not tell them, I mean itā€™s my choice what I do in my free time :joy:

Yeahā€¦ My parents donā€™t really care and only my close BFFs know, bc they were on the app too. But I feel like if I told someone else, theyā€™d think Iā€™m weird, or a ā€œnerdā€. Nothing wrong with being a nerd, because I am, but I still donā€™t feel comfortable telling people.

My friends opened my laptop with my episode writer portal, and I told them that I was coding.ā€¦

I mean, I didnā€™t feel like explaining it!!!:tired_face:

I donā€™t mind if some people know (a select few) but if it was public or a lot of others knew or something else, Iā€™d be totally embarrassed :joy:

I only told my family and my best friend (she also played episode for a little time) :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: but they really think thats cool :nerd_face: they even read my story or when i draw or working on my story i just show them (especially my sister cuz she supports me a lot) for feedbacks or something.

My mom knows about Episode but she doesnā€™t really get the whole community-writing-stories concept. Though she doesnā€™t mind me doing all the stuff. I donā€™t really have a BFFs irl (only amazing online friends in the community) but Iā€™d share my hobby with him|her if I had them :hugs:
I may not ready to go around and saying I do all of that but I wonā€™t be ashamed or uncomfortable if people find out:)

Tbh, same but my family and best friend found out anyway. Theyā€™re actually fine with tho and my best friend is pretty supportive as long i donā€™t write cringy romances. Now if the kids at my school found out, iā€™d be in a hole for the rest of my life. It sucks that i have to hide it because the ads are sorta weird (which is why iā€™m embarrassed)but in reality itā€™s actually not full of romance and pregnancies. Too bad they donā€™t know.

I literally tell anyone lmaoo my friends follow my episode IG, my close friends read my stories even some of my not so close friends know it. my parents know because of payments but I didnā€™t really explain to them that Iā€™m actually writing lol

episode is not a thing to be embarrassed over.
maybe its just because of my age. as you get older you stop caring about what people think and just do what makes you happy.

For me, itā€™s because episode has a certain reputation for the kinds of stories it puts out. Tbh itā€™d be pretty cool to tell others I code and I write but Iā€™d rather people I knew donā€™t read my stories lmao :joy:
