Does anyone know how to make your character fade in a scene for like exiting?
I really need to know so I can continue my story. Thank you!

Yes something like that! 
I believe Dara.Amarie has a template for this, but basically to sum it up.
You’ll need to make your background an overlay as well.
Add the overlay background to layer 2 and have your “ghost character” stand in layer 1.
Set the opacity of your overlay to .5.
And there you go, ghost character!
