titles says everything
Honestly yes they do. Like when you go out in public to get your coffee or whatever in most cases you aren’t going to be the only one there. If you don’t add background characters I doubt your story is going to do well.
Even school?
Especially in school. I mean unless you are after hours yes and teachers would most likely count as background characters since they don’t have a plot in most stories apart from giving out that test that the MC never studied for.
can i have a school template?
U have to either make one yourself or find one from someone who makes templates (:
Making 10 characters is a-lot for me
If u need help with characters at any point, on a script…
- If u create a script naming some characters that u haven’t actually created, it’ll give u the option to have some made for u with random features, u just pick the gender & plus size/generic size (:
Can you take a picture of that>
U can click re-try to have another character made if u don’t like the ones shown (:
I’ll try, hang on a sec (:

It doesn’t have to have background characters, but it adds to the realness. For example I’ve never gone to the city and it’s completely empty, or been to the mall, and nobody is there, or even to school there’s always someone there, even if its just a teacher or principal, there’s always someone there
Background characters in an environment are 100% important. You will need to code scenes like this ALL the time, and it’s not super realistic to expect to find someone to code it for you every time. (it would be time consuming) You should really just learn the basics of episode coding, but more specifically, spot directing. It’s really really important- it will save you the stress of not understanding why a certain coding line you did is popping us as an error or warning. You cannot expect to write and code an episode story with no knowledge or intention of adding something as simple as background characters. I mean this in the most straightforward and nicest way
Episode will be tedious and it WILL be work- coding a scene like this is an example of that
A person made me a script s
Right, what I’m saying is, you cannot rely on script templates whenever you want a scene like this- they’re helpful and it’s ok to use them, but you should still learn the basics of episode coding
I know the basics of episode coding
Oh ok- then you would be able to code a scene with background characters?
yeh
