I made this myself and I’m wondering if you saw it in the app would it grab your attention or does it still need improvement

! All that I would recommend is add some shading , draw some cute eyelashes and maybe you can change the font and it’s just an advice 
. But overall it looks so good

Do you know which brush I should use for adding shade/shadows in ibis paint X cos I’m very stuck

You can use air brush for shading or can use any normal brush and the blend it out by blur tool.
And for eyelashes , I use round brush angle at extremely less thickness😊

That depends. Just choose the colour you have used for skin and just go for a little dark shade. Then add another layer and a bit darker shade. That should do the trick I guess!
