Basically I was fed up with gem choices on user stories and the whole early access thing so I thought I’d read some featured stories today so I can earn some gems.
I managed to get over 50 gems and basically I accidentally tapped on a gem choice and was left with 13 gems . I gave it another shot and had up to 35 gems and the exact same thing happened so now I’m left with 5 gems. FIVE.

like come on gimme a break :roll_eyes:
Im so mad rn .

(Ps I know I’ve been inactive for like ages but I’ve had so much homework , I’ll try my best being as active as I can )

That’s annoying, I keep accidentally pressing the gem choices and losing too many gems :sweat_smile:

That’s why I avoid reading featured stories. :wink: Same happened to me one time… Started with 100 gems ended with 15 gems… Funny thing was, when I had those 15 gems they asked me if I wanted to go on a date with LI for 16 gems… :woman_facepalming: So, that is the reason I decided only to read the non-featured stories. :wink: There are still stories without gem choices… :wink:

Oml. that sucks :confused: basically rn im obsessed with Heli and Alphy they’re my favorite authors and they do actually use the gem feature for their stories and I’m just so mad rn dude like I wasted many hours of my day for nothing 🥲

if i have to gain gems I read the featured stories (which i hate) and tap very fastly and the same thing has happened to me multiple times- i accidentally clicked on the gem option… but to prevent that i always tap at the very top to skip. so I never lose gems :blush:

Basically their stories are their originals they aren’t featured but sadly they are with gem choices :confused:

Ugh :woman_facepalming: Yeah I know what you mean… The trouble is… The author can choose now self if they make gem choices or not.
Those who are making gem choices in their original stories, do that to get higher in rank… And you have other authors (like me) with no gem choices, but the ‘support the author’-choice after each (or an unknown amount of) episode(s). :wink:
As reader I only support the author if I love the story. :wink:

The fact that it’s 1 gem per Episode finished and the gem options are so expensive is unfair.

It just really bothered that I couldn’t choose gem choices :sneezing_face::sneezing_face:. And earning gems is a really hard situation when you only get 1 for each chap

Unfortunately, episode is making buying gems the only option. Which isn’t fair on younger readers who might have parents who’ve lost jobs due to COVID and could b in issues w money. It’s not v considerate of episode to make earning gems so difficult. That kind of thing is so annoying. Anyway, I’m not gonna pay for gems or read featured stories bc, generally, I don’t wanna b manipulated by episode :joy:

Yeah the gem choice is very tricky. I’m an avid reader and I am also an author in Episode. For my new story I decided not to add any gems just because I don’t want anyone to spend money on them. My rank is like N/A and people tell me to add them because it’ll help my rank and because they really liked my story. So idk what I should do. If I should add them or not. I do want to get my story out there but it just sucks.
