Now, double life, your character will have to balance a double life. Meaning your character has a career and a secret profession. You can choose any career for your character, and any secret profession for your character. It could be anything.
Now, when you’re done choosing both career sides of what the character will be balancing. Ask yourself some questions, and get inspiration from movies/tv shows.
- Will your character face difficulty balancing both lives?
- Will someone betrays your character in revealing their identity?
- Will your character come clean with their identity?
- Will your character have allies/enemies?
- Will your character fall in love with an ally/enemy to reveal their secret?
- How will the MC pull through their strugglings balancing both double lives?
- Will your MC be from another world?
- Will your MC have powers?

If you’re writing a fantasy story? Go for it!
- What powers will your character have?
- What is your character profession? (Ex. archer, mage, knight, etc.)
- What will the MC double life will be?
- Will the MC travel to another dimension?
- Will the MC have friends, family, love interest?
- Will the MC have enemies/allies?
- What will the MC do if her identity is revealed by an enemy/ally?
- How will the MC balance their double life?
- Will there be a happy ending or sad ending?

If you’re going for Superheroes.
- How many villians?
- How many ally superheroes?
- Will a villian/superhero reveal your identity?
- Will one of your allies betray the MC over something he/she wants in return?
- Does the MC live on their own, or with family, or with friends?
- How will the MC reveal their identity?
- What kind of profession does the MC have?

I got an idea for a story that I think would fit with the Double Life theme, so I might end up submitting it in the contest. I’d just have to modify the title a bit… but I’m okay with that.
the description I have so far is:
Garth needs to be more efficient at his job. So his Dad is sending him to Public school to learn Suffering and Pain. His Dad happens to be the Devil…
So he’s a demon, but he’s also going to high school. Would that count?
I’m having some trouble with the guidelines right now because I do have to say “Hell” as it refers to the place he’s from. But there are no swears or inappropriate things, as it is a comedy and shouldn’t be taken seriously. I only make comedies, because that’s what I like to read.
Your feedback would be appreciated. If it doesn’t fit in with the DL theme, I’ll still make it, I just won’t submit it into the contest. (Last time I submitted a story to the contest it didn’t get many views, it was kind of disappointing)

So is he going to the human world to disguise himself as a human and in secrecy he’s a demon?
Yes. Though, his “demon” look is very similar. It’s pretty much just wings and a tail and horns
When he’s in the human realm he wears a hat to cover his horns, and blends in with the humans.

Ah, okay. I’m getting some ideas, that people in his school might think why he wears the hat all the time, and someone might remove the hat off him, and the MC either might burst with rage or use his power to earse someone memory of him taking his hat off or something.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. He does that the “power of suggestion” so he could use that to “strongly suggest” they saw nothing.
But I’m only 2 episodes in, so the characters haven’t fully developed yet.
I have a plot, but sometimes the plot changes based on the feel of the characters. You think someone’s the bad guy, than you end up liking the character so you give them a better part, all that kind of thing.
