Dropping this story feels nerve racking

Hi guys. I wanted to ask a few questions that won’t take up much time to answer. So let me start off with I only have three episodes finished. Each episode is about 7-12 minutes long (I timed myself). I wanted to ask:

  1. Should I create more episodes before dropping the three I have already created?
  2. Can someone do me a favor and revise my story?
  3. How else should I promote my story? Is there some sort of algorithm to be able to receive reads?
  4. What should I expect when I first drop a story?
  5. What is the best day to drop a story?

Sorry if these questions may seem dumb.

  1. Should I create more episodes before dropping the three I have already created?
I would say yes, if you create let’s say…7 episodes, once you release the first 3, you can release maybe 1 a week, and work on more episodes as you go, that way you can release weekly/frequently

  2. Can someone do me a favor and revise my story?
    Sure, just PM me!

  3. How else should I promote my story? Is there some sort of algorithm to be able to receive reads?
Instagram is one way, posting sneak peeks and bonus scenes you should have an ig just for episode, as well as R4Rs and story promos

  4. What should I expect when I first drop a story?
When some people release their story they expect to have like, 1k readers within the first week, but thats not common, it may take over a month to gain that many readers, some stories blow up immediately, but that is extremely rare

  5. What is the best day to drop a story
I’d say you could post the cover of your story along with an official release date, that way no matter what day you release the ones who see your post can look forward to it

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me with any more questions

Hey! I’ve recently published as well, for promoting I would use all the threads on here ( maybe do some read 4 reads ) And use instagram!

  1. I released mine with 4 episodes, I think 3-4 is good.
  2. I can revise and read your story for you! PM Me
  3. Don’t be discouraged about amount of reads you get in the beginning, it does take time and as long as you keep promoting yourself it’ll be great! :blob_hearts: There are also a few big authors who do paid promo’s as well if you look into that. But you just need an insta for your story and that’ll do the trick, try following lots of people insta as well! Mine is jo.writes12
  4. I’ve seen people say mid day / evening but I think whenever you are ready is best for you.
