So I have a question regarding the early access… because it says that if you put your new episodes on early access then your readers will have to wait 7 days or pay gems :thinking: but what I don’t understand is when some stories you only have to wait 5 hours or so? :woman_shrugging:
Is there a way to control the waiting time for the early release?

I guess author who published their stories long ago add early access so that they can get gems (which I understand) so when someone adds early access to already published chapters, we have to wait for 5 - 6 hours.

This is what I think.

yeah it is very confusing if you ask me… I just released one of my episodes on early access and now I regret doing it because of the loooong wait for my readers :weary:

I did the same :slightly_smiling_face: :joy: Duhh!! We are same bro!!
By reading it “Eary Access” I thought it will make my readers NOT to wait to read my story… but It make them spending their gems on my story instead… I regret it now :slightly_smiling_face:

Lol I hate it! They should at least give the author the choice to set how long the wait should be for the readers! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

When the author publishes a new episode, and adds early access, the wait is in some days, but when the author has completed publishing a story a long time ago but wants to add EA now, the wait would be for 5 to 6 hours

I RECOMMEND TO NOT PUT THE EARLY ACESS!
Because the readers are then upset and have to wait…like me :sweat_smile:

Yeah I hate it too but I actually thought the author could decide how long the wait should be… so I understand if my readers will be upset :sweat:
Now I just know to not use it again in the future

Just general info I know of:
The Early Access on a chapter expires after a week, but the time is also accumulative if they add another EA chapter before the week is up.

There’s another feature being tested known as “skip-the-wait” which is an 11-hour wait time that only starts counting down when the reader has seen it regardless of when the chapter was published.

I’m just guessing that it might be a different addition to the skip-the-wait since many ppl complain about the 11-hour wait time (myself included) or a new test of Early Access? I personally haven’t seen a wait time of only 5 hours straight off the bat, unless I’ve literally only got 5 hours to go from the week countdown.
