Early Access Question

Just general info I know of:
The Early Access on a chapter expires after a week, but the time is also accumulative if they add another EA chapter before the week is up.

There’s another feature being tested known as “skip-the-wait” which is an 11-hour wait time that only starts counting down when the reader has seen it regardless of when the chapter was published.

I’m just guessing that it might be a different addition to the skip-the-wait since many ppl complain about the 11-hour wait time (myself included) or a new test of Early Access? I personally haven’t seen a wait time of only 5 hours straight off the bat, unless I’ve literally only got 5 hours to go from the week countdown.

Is there a way to control the waiting time for the early release?

Not yet. But I have a couple of threads for it:

FEATURE: Option to change Early Access wait time

It would be nice if we had the option to alter how many days we want readers to wait for Early Access to end as opposed to just 7 days. Examples would be having the option to change it anywhere from 1 day to the full 7 days (1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days/1 week). As the title suggests, I think it would be great if authors could alter how many gems their early access option presents to readers, much like how we have the option of choosing how many gems we want to charge for gem choices (5, 8, 12, etc). Of course, there would have to be a cap to prevent authors charging too much. If you’re in favor of the idea, like this post and comment your support!
