Hi!
Some backgrounds already have automatic overlays included (like the Philadelphia Bedroom’s desk). Does anyone know how to change these overlays’ layer? Unfortunately, I can’t quite figure out what the name of the overlays are, as they to not appear in the overlay catalog…

As far as I know, if the overlay comes with the background, you can’t change it.
That means, if you want your characters to walk in front of the overlay, you will have to use the background without the overlay, and create your own.
BACKGROUND with BACKGROUND
@over BACKGROUND moves to layer X
you can even add the overlay to another background
Example:
INT. PHILADELPHIA BEDROOM - DAY with INT. PHILADELPHIA BEDROOM - DAY at layer 1
