Enter The Epy Shorts 2018!

The Epy Shorts 2018 is a traditional novel writing contest that aims to help Episode writers build on and sharpen their
traditional writing skills. We hope to encourage writers to master the basics first before moving on to
complex branching, spot directing or adding visuals and sound effects.

Writers are given a number of prompts to base their short stories on.
Short stories are to be at least 900 words to (ideally) 2000 words (max 4000).

Short stories are to:

  • be written in the English Language
  • include dialogue
  • be neatly paragraphed and formatted in a legible font type, in font size 11.

All panel members will review each story and collectively (as a group) pick out their Top 10 shortlisted stories.

Discussion will be carried out and decisions on the Top 6 Winners will be selected.

Results will be announced in early January. (No written feedback will be given due to a small panel and
short reviewing time)
