Episode 10.5 App Release: Device Support Update

Hello Episodians!

With the next release of the Episode App, version 10.5, we are making some changes that mean we aren’t able to support 32-bit iOS devices or any Android device that runs 4.4 or below. Once the new version of Episode is out, players on affected devices won’t be able to upgrade their app, and the app will no longer show up in either app store.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please find a list of affected devices below.

Devices no longer supported by Episode versions 10.5 and above:

Android devices running Android 4.4 and below

Will app users also going to be informed? It’d be pretty bad if they didn’t know their app won’t work anymore.

I think you get a message in app. Like it pops up and tells you?
Because I vaguely remember something happening in the past and someone got some error message

Oh okay, I only have the original iPad that I first downloaded episode on years ago, so it’ll be sad to see that go.

More importantly, does this mean the official release of Episode Social or whatever it’s called? Fingers crossed!!

Luckily, my phone is not listed there.

But for the love for Episode, I’d even buy a new phone, if I had to. :blush:

This is a great point! Hopefully a little message pops up for all users on the app itself so no one is caught by surprise :confused:
