I don’t get the big deal is poc?
You can customize her why is everyone complaining about it.
A skin color doesn’t define the story it what makes the story
It’s a awesome story I’m proud of arrows
Wow that’s really nice!! Because not everybody is so perfectly small!
And that’s nice for the people who are big sized to feel also appreciate right?

Oooo this is so cool!
Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect also had that similar body type but her animations were very limited. I’m hoping this is a showcase of the progress they’ve made since that was released…
Just state the facts it’s episode story what do you expect
I think everyone has some valid points. Maybe episode will (hopefully) consider this. Let’s just hope people don’t take this and make it what it shouldn’t or needn’t be. But, then again…
I have some concerns about the app getting a plus size body for that very reason. As nice as having the body would be, I don’t trust the majority of the app to use it appropriately and respectfully. I mean the face shape for her already gets used as the “ugly” face in edits and stories along with bigger noses.
Also, does the body give anybody else a little bit of the uncanny valley effect? I couldn’t figure out why, but then I realized there’s no real “shadows” on her neck under the face shape so the head looks very pasted on. Since it seems like they’re going through with this, my recommendation would be to add some shading there.
Yeah, I didn’t like this change. It felt very clickbait-y. I also never liked Tian always looking like a WMOC being that dark with blue eyes as well, but that’s a whole other thing.
Agree. I’m sure they’re still tweaking it? Or will before they release it fully.
I definitely think it’s still in the beta stage to at least some degree. From what I can tell, they introduce new assets in originals or bought stories because it’ll reach a wider audience and that’s good for bug testing/user feedback.
I have a story that touches on eating disorder - probably will not be published on this app as it is a “sensitive” subject and the way the character loses the weight is obviously not healthy- but her eating disorder plays a big role in her character development and how the big bad torments her… I wouldn’t want young readers to think that its an okay way to lose weight. So, sigh, I will have to wait until the mature app is released to the community. I do think it’ll be cool to add some size diversity in stories though. Not everyone is hour-glass and skinny.
tbh, when I show it first on someone IG stories I thought it was a fat suit
That’s a super cool feature. Tho I don’t get why y’all r “worried” that authors will use it for makeover stories. What’s wrong with that? There’s plenty of rl movies, books and all sorts of cartoons, doing makeover stories that way and nobody seems to get offended? And if anyone finds it offensive then just… Don’t watch/read it…? Idk, it seems to me like saying that you’re worried they’ll add blonde hair, cuz ppl will use it to add mean girls to stories and stereotype blondes, and blond people will get offended, idk dud.
Here’s the thing about movies or tv shows that use the ugly fat girl becomes skinny and pretty, it cause kids, teens, even grown adult to become self conscious about themselves and is one of the leading causes of eating disorders. Also it reinforces the age old trope of beginning big makes you ugly and beginning skinny makes you pretty, successful, and popular. The fat to pretty themes are dated, sexist, and dangerous. So don’t be saying you don’t have to read it because guess what there are people living it and what you’re saying is that it’s fine to subject people that are a little bigger to bulling, harassment and suicidal thoughts.
You just spoke facts ![]()
I’ll like to comment, just because the media does it, doesn’t mean you should follow in their footsteps. Set an example for the younger kids that read these stories on episodes, and for those who are considered plus sized who are struggling with self love. The makeover trends are disgusting and disrespectful. I never liked them. You’re entitled to have your opinion, just like the people who expressing their concerns for the potential problems that will happen with this body shape.
That’s why you have to show a good, healthy way of dropping the weight. The leading cause of eating disorders is internet and dumbass bullies, telling people that they shouldn’t eat, instead of telling them that should eat, but healthier and also exercise. ![]()
It’s a well known fact, that prettier people have way easier life. It’s dumb, but it’s true, that’s just human nature, that we like nice things. It’s also our nature to like different things, so there are also people, who like more curvy girls and that’s alright. I don’t know what movies/TV series you’ve been watching, so I can’t really point out anything specific, but as far as I can tell, if a girl didn’t like herself while being fat, and didn’t feel attractive, people didn’t either. Once she got slim and felt attractive, therefore began to love what she became - people reacted with the same. If a fat girl loves the way she looks and feels attractive, a lot of people will see her that way and it actually doesn’t matter how much she weights. That’s psychological research.
I never said it’s fine, wth??? It happens, but it doesn’t matter if you’re fat or skinny. People all over the world are getting bullied for a lot of reasons, weight can be one of them, but I never said it’s OK to bully those people for that. Bullying is never ok, it is a sensitive subject in general, doesn’t matter what the reason is, so you have to be careful while adding this sort of plot to your story. But it doesn’t mean you can’t and shouldn’t, cuz it’s life. It happens.
Aight, you don’t have to like it, of course. But yet again, I don’t understand your way of thinking and I’d really want to. Because I think we had some sort of misunderstanding, what are the makeover stories? That fat girl is ugly, so everyone hates her for that and then one day she randomly comes to school being all slim and pretty and now everyone loves her? Well, that’s stupid and unreal. But what if this fat girl is super shy and socially awkward, because she feels like nobody would like her and then one day somebody does, so she, with new strength, being super confident about herself again, decides to change something in her life, for her - not other people - to feel even better about herself? And then she decides that loosing weight would be something she’d like to do? And once she does she actually likes herself even better and therefore feels less socially awkward and has more courage to actually talk to people and find out she always was likable and nothing really changed, except the way she sees herself? Because that’s the kind of story I’m thinking about, when I say makeover story. I feel bad for even having to explain it that way, like it wasn’t obvious ![]()
I agree

I’m so glad they finally got a plus sized body shape! I hope they’ll add it to the portal soon with more body shapes. Every body shape is beautiful
I thought I was the only one. Ofc Episode is still testing it out, but it’s a lot to polish
