Honestly? Wait until someone else who submitted after you gets made to change things? That’s the only thing I can think of
but that isn’t reliable enough when I suspect I’ve seen a few authors lie about being “one of the first” to request a review and still not hearing back
This is what I’m worried about the most now. It’s kind of hard to know just how far back they are on reviewing stories. I mean, personally I’d say if no one’s heard anything within 2-4 weeks that your story is probably in the clear but we still don’t know for sure.
It would be so much easier if they’d just send an email telling people they found no issues in their episodes.
lets say the story is about a homosexual trying to come out in a homophobic environment or it’s the 1950’s and some one falls in love with a person of color and struggles with society saying she shouldn’t.
I think it should be okay in that context if the VILLAINS say derogatory shit.
They may have changed the cover but the story as a whole breaks all the new guidelines. Cursing with no * and lots of very mature content, even foot fetishes. So I’m confused about how they change things for us and then release a story like this.
Unfortunately the only people I know that submitted the ticket around the same days as I did still haven’t received an update yet, but at the same time they didn’t receive the email that told me to wait because they have too many reviews. If I didn’t receive that update I would probably be more calm right now, but at this point my safe bet is probably to wait until the 10th and see if anything change
I agree with the fact that some authors lied about when they submitted the ticket, I honestly don’t know why they are doing it tho, it’s not like Episode will get confused and review them first lol
You’re the one that informed me about this on Instagram, right?
I’ve just checked my emails, I submitted a ticket September 10th and I received the last update September 13th, does that mean that I need to wait a little bit more to be sure?
Yes
I mean…it’s been like 2 weeks since I asked them to review my first episode and I haven’t heard anything past the “we have a lot to go through we’ll let you know if there’s any changes” email. My first episode is also fairly tame, though, so I’m like 99% sure it’s in the clear. I did send them another email this morning though asking them to review my story as a whole because I have some things in episode 3 I’m not clear on, so I guess we’ll have to see?
I would think though that if you’ve waited over 2 weeks you might be okay? This entire thing is just so complicated though.
Yes I do, but specifically for my cover.
I was told this is fine:

Just watch it get rejected now lol
Of course, if the knife was actually being used in a violent way or to show it had killed someone, that would be a different story.
Thank you
Straddling in every situation is inherently sexual.
I don’t think it would be very powerful talking about racism in the Jim Crow era if the MC is white.
And honestly, I don’t trust community authors to accurately represent racism in the past.
Idk what to think about all swearing being banned but I’m glad episode is finally cutting out all of the horny bs, which was the main reason I didn’t go on the app
d. no guns?
only in covers.
Legit, I’ve seen the same questions asked 60 times.
It’s starting to piss me off oop

Same!!!
It also doesn’t help that everything is so vague. I thought I had a pretty good idea, but since I’ve started seriously writing my own story I just realize how complicated it all is. There are so many rules that could be based on opinions (the excessive parts of the guidelines for example).
sorry i’m not fully understanding. If I start writting a story now will my story be taken down by the 10th of October?
Only if it somehow violates guidelines.
Either way, better safe than sorry to submit a Support Ticket just in case
