Episode is Updating Our Content Guidelines

Okay. I just read an episode of Kiss List that has hell censored, so that might be our answer as far as that word goes.

It is odd. Hell is not censored in Prom night, so I Guess the writing team even has different beliefs on what counts as a swear

Hell and bitch are both ones I’ve seen censored in The Kiss List so I’m going to add them to my mental list, but I agree.

I’m trying to use the episode featured stories as a base, but it’s kind of hard when they all do different things (plus it’s hard to tell which ones have been updated completely).

So true

Story cards are the backgrounds cover as a background. They use the cover and make it a background for the intro

They approved my story cover and it has Hell in the title…

It’s a character nickname so I’ll be in big trouble if they decide that Hell must be censored :disappointed_relieved:

But I’m still waiting for an answer from Epi content review team

But for Covers they might be paying attention more to actual art work versus the title. At least that’s my thought process behind it.

I’m starting to think (based on other things I’ve seen in the forums/the fact the stories don’t all match up) that maybe certain words (hell, damn, etc.) might be on a by personal opinion base. So we can censor them if we feel the need to, but they might not be 100% necessary?

I still stand by words like bitch, fuck, shit, etc. needing to be censored though. Those are all pretty curse-wordy (and I’m saying it as a person who uses those words pretty much as a regular part of my vernacular).

I’m also wondering how many people they have on the review team and just how in line with each other their opinions are? I mean: I don’t really consider hell a curse word, but someone else could. :woman_shrugging:t2::sweat_smile:

Yes, these are pretty clear to me. I had them censored before the update came out anyway :woman_shrugging:t5:

My issues as well for others are hell and damn…

Yeah. It’s definitely confusing.

My own personal opinion is to just censor to be on the safe side. It’s a bit childish I know but I’d personally rather just censor those words than worry about my story.

I’m waiting for an answer from the Content review team for now I’ll leave them as they are. I haven’t published yet anyway.

One of them was mine, I’m so sorry, I didn’t see that it was asked before

Eh, it’s understandable. By now, there are around 2700 responses above, so the actual answers are muddled.

True, we should open a new topic with the most commonly asked questions answered, maybe this way it can be more organized

Any help with finding the story ID? I don’t have a clue where to look. Thank you xxx

Okay

I’m confused because in the new story Love on Fire the curses aren’t censored and they have a lot of mature content.

Agree. I think there are also a couple of threads about clarifying these things too, so options :hugs:

I…really don’t know what to say in terms of Love on Fire. I was under the assumption all curse words have to be censored.
