I suggest you the same.
Can we ask the reader if they wanna watch the scene too? They’re already gonna do it. It the reader can have the option to skip if they don’t wanna watch it
That’s for cover images.
I did read them… My stories have nothing remotely on the topic of sex… so, for me, this was not relative… it is for you, though…
Just trying to help ya out.
I know that shower scene deffo needs changing…not that it describes anything just kissing under the shower
Maybe you can zoom so it focuses on the shoulders up. That’s what a lot of TV shows for a PG-13 audience do. I remember being 10 and seeing CW shows. Then whenever someone brought up sex in school my mind just conjured up an image of people kissing from the shoulders up.
Content warnings cannot be used to “break guidelines” hence, you cant use a warning screen or “skip” option to insert scenes or material that is prohibited by the guidelines (aka not pg-13)
Hahaha they need to add a fourth option:
“Not at all- I don’t consent to this”
My problem is that even before those updates they would force an author to change a part of the story if there were nudity without censor bars (I don’t understand why since the models are literally like barbies)while doing the same in college-is so they have been breaking their guidelines for a long time
I get that, but there is nothing they can do about the past. They are trying to change it NOW.
Did you check the new one? Beds are mentioned… Im sure of it. However, it may just be for “covers” I simply stated you should read the guidlines, because I was not sure about the details, but mentioned the “bed thing” so that those who may have such a scene could clarify if this was against guidelines or not.
That still doesn’t matter because those rules have been stated since DAY 1 so idky you guys are acting like that’s a NEW RULE when it’s not
Well we can still talk about the past because without that we can’t learned from the mistakes
Exactly!
Where is the new one? This is what I get when i open the link given in first post of this thread.
No that’s not bad at all.
Lemme see if I can find it… I think it was pinned…
It’s not like I’m saying “let’s make full sex scenes” Parents take 13 year olds to R rated films… if they get parental consent then it shouldn’t be an issue…
I’m just saying the Horror genre is so underwhelming with poor stories and characters because of the limitations it should be allowed to an extent have more creative liberties since they haven’t done anything else for that genre and the authors that actually try to make it worth reading suffer because their isn’t enough to actually make you scared…
That’s actually not a bad idea thank you
